LIMA - AREQUIPA - CUZCO - MACHU PICCHU - PUNO - NAZCA
DAY 1: LIMA Meeting and assistance upon arrival at Lima International Airport. Transfer to your Hotel. If your flight arrives in the morning then remainder of the day at your leisure.
DAY 2: LIMA Pick up from the Hotel to start a complete City Tour of three hours aprox. Where we will see its beautiful San Martin Square and the Main Square of Lima (Plaza Mayor). We will visit 2 Religious Art Museums: The Cathedral and the Church and Monastery of San Francisco de Asís, with its Library that is considered the second most important of Latin America, its beautiful Sacristy, The Main Cloister and the Catacombs that was the first cemetery of Lima. Then we will continue with the Residential and modern area of San Isidro and Miraflores.Finally, we will walk through the old town of Barranco where we will see the Bridge of the Sighs and the Central Square
Return to the Hotel.
DAY 3: LIMA - AREQUIPA
Breakfast. Pick up from your Hotel. Transfer to Lima International Airport. Arrive in Arequipa, reception and transfer to your Hotel. Morning at your leisure. In the afternoon visit the Main Square, the Cathedral, Cloisters, Churches and the beautiful domes of La Compañía de Jesus church, colonial district of Yanahuara with a magnificent view of the Misti Volcano. Then, we will enter the Santa Catalina´s Monastery, considered one of its kind in South America. It was founded in 1580 and recently open to the public in 1970. It possesses narrow squares and gardens with Spanish names that remind us of the old neighborhoods in Seville and Granada, Spain.
DAY 4: AREQUIPA Breakfast. Morning travel to the country site admiring the Incan and pre-Incan terraces. We’ll visit the mansion of the founder of the Arequipa: Garci Manuel de Carbajal, restored as a museum. Eight kilometers north of Arequipa is the Molino de Sabandía, the first stone mill in the area, built in 1621.
DAY 5: AREQUIPA - CUZCO Breakfast. Transfer to Arequipa´s airport for the flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco, you will be picked up and transferred to your Hotel. After a morning rest, in the afternoon you will begin your visit to the Imperial city, visiting the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Temple of Koricancha and the main streets. Then we will go to the ruins of Qénqo, Puca -Pucara and Tambomachay and then onto the spectacular ruins of Sacsayhuaman, where you will find the amazingly large, perfectly fitted together granite walls that make up Sacsayhauman. Transfer to your hotel.
DAY 6: CUZCO - MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO
Breakfast. Transfer to the train station for a 3 hour train trip to Aguas Calientes, where you will begin your ascend to the ruins of Machu Picchu, which is being considered the 8th Wonder of the World. Next you have a Lunch Buffet. After lunch, you will descend to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cuzco. Upon arrival to Cuzco, transfer to your Hotel.
DAY 7: CUZCO Breakfast. This day we will embark into Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley) and visit the market of Pisac where one can pick up souvenirs or just browse around. Next the tour continues deeper into the Sacred Valley for a lunch buffet. Afterwards, we visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo. At these ruins, one can appreciate the 3 meter high stones that make up part of the fortress and Temple of the Sun. Return trip to Cuzco to your Hotel.
DAY 8: CUZCO - PUNO Breakfast. Pick up from hotel and transfer to airport, train station or bus station. Transfer to your hotel in Puno.
DAY 9: PUNO - ISLANDS OF UROS AND TAQUILE Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the pier of lake Titicaca (the highest navigable lake in the world) for a boat trip in the floating islands of the Uros, made of totora reeds that grow abundantly in the lake. This is what gives them their appearance and the swaying feel under your feet when you walk on the island. Continuing on, we visit the Taquile island. Not only does it offer wonderful lake panoramic views but colorful, traditional folklore and eye catching handicrafts. The island is also famous for producing the typical musical instrument of the region, the sicu. Lunch. Return to Puno.
DAY 10: PUNO - LIMA Breakfast. Excursion to the Chullpas of Sillustani, 19 miles from the city of Puno, near lake Umayo. There are well preserved funerary towers where the Colla nobility were buried. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima. On arrival transfer to your hotel.
DAY 11: LIMA - ICA - NAZCA
Breakfast. Pick up at your Hotel and transfer to the bus terminal. Departure to the city of Ica by a luxurious bus. In the afternoon, fly over the mysterious Nazca Lines. Return to your Hotel in Paracas in private transportation.
DAY 12: ICA - PARACAS - LIMA Breakfast. Excursions to the Islas Ballestas where one can appreciate the Fauna of the sea. Pass by the enigmatic "Candelabro" etched into the desert mountain. Return to Lima by coach. Transfer to your hotel.
DAY 13: LIMA Breakfast. Day at Leisure. Transfer to Lima International Airport for your flight home.Weather:
