LIMA - ICA - PARACAS
DAY 1, WEDNESDAY: LIMA
Meeting and assistance upon arrival at Lima International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. If your flight arrives in the morning then remainder of the day at your leisure.
DAY 2, THURSDAY: LIMA
Pick up from the Hotel to start a complete City Tour of three hours aprox. Where we will see its beautiful San Martin Square and the Main Square of Lima (Plaza Mayor). We will visit 2 Religious Art Museums: The Cathedral and the Church and Monastery of San Francisco de Asís, with its Library that is considered the second most important of Latin America, its beautiful Sacristy, The Main Cloister and the Catacombs that was the first cemetery of Lima. Then we will continue with the Residential and modern area of San Isidro and Miraflores.Finally, we will walk through the old town of Barranco where we will see the Bridge of the Sighs and the Central Square
Return to the Hotel.
DAY 3, FRIDAY: LIMA
Breakfast buffet. Pick up from your hotel to visit the National Museum (Museo de la Nacion), the city’s biggest and one of the most important in the country. This museum has a marvelous collection of artifacts of the pre-Inca Civilizations, where its three floors are ordered chronologically. Its main exhibit is the facsimile of the burial site of the Lord of Sipan, whose discovery in 1987, constituted the archeological find of the 20th century in Peru.
Transfer to Chifa Royal Restaurant, where you will treated to a fabulous lunch buffet, featuring delicious dishes, paired with premium peruvian wines. Transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon. At night, Dinner buffet at a specially selected restaurant, where you will enjoy the best show of folk dance in the city. Transfer to your hotel.
DAY 4, SATURDAY: LIMA - ICA -PARACAS
Breakfast buffet. Transfer to the bus terminal for your trip to Ica, 190 miles south of Lima. Bus will leave you at Hotel Las Dunas. Visit to the two main wineries: Tacama and Vista Alegre to observe the full production (seasonal) of wine and pisco and participate in the wine tasting. This excursion takes place on a non-asphasted road with the picturesque view of farms and villages typical of this region. Lunch buffet in the hotel. City Tour. We will visit the Huacachina lagoon, a beautiful oasis 3 miles away from the city in the middle of the desert surrounded by dunes and palm trees. Its water are full of sulfurous and saline matters that are supposed to have therapueutic properties.
We will also visit the Museo Regional, frequently hailed as one of the best small museums in the country, houses a good collection of intricate Paracas textiles, Nazca ceramics, mummies, fossils, deformed skulls as well as colonial and republican art. You will find a large scale model of the Nazca lines behind the museum. Transfer to Hotel Paracas. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 5, SUNDAY: PARACAS - LIMA
Continental Breakfast. Excursion by boat to the Ballestas Islands (Peru´s largest coastal wildlife Sanctuary), where you can appreciate huge colonies of barking sea lions, endangered turtles, Humboldt penguins and pelicans, among other animals. Landing is prohibited. In your route to the islands, boats pass the mysterious Candelabro, a giant candelabra-like drawing, etched into a cliff overlooking the bay. Lunch at the hotel. Return trip to Lima, transfer from Bus Terminal to Swisotel. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 6, MONDAY: LIMA
Breakfast buffet. Day at your leisure. Transfer to the Lima’s International Airport to your flight home..
